While jurisdictions have opened up since the days of Covid, working online for all or part of the mediation process remains a preference for many parties and counsel.
Maxwell Mediators uses a mixture of online and in-person mediation, and once intake matters are settled, our mediators usually discuss with counsel meeting online, not only for preliminary matters but also for private discussions with client participation to increase the likelihood that the dispute will move more quickly into productive negotiations when the parties meet in-person or online.
Our mediators are available at no cost for discussions around approach and scheduling, and they are happy to discuss the pros and cons of particular technical solutions or platforms – whether a focused one or two-day model works best or how it might be re-shaped for your case and how multi-party cases work online.
We successfully mediated online during lockdown restrictions and we were successfully involved in a number of large disputes involving multiple parties in multiple jurisdictions.
We can help with scheduling Preliminary Telephone/Video Meeting between Counsel, providing an Agreement to Mediate Online and holding Orientation/Troubleshooting practice sessions.
